Geocache Description:

Veterans Memorial Park

All gave some...and some gave all. This cache is placed in honor of all past and future veterans of the United States armed forces. Be sure to look in the bottom on the cache for a special salute to veterans. This park is a great place for a picnic. While there note all the fire scarred trees. Please take the main trails to the cache area. The cache is not far off one of the trails. Cache is in a smaller metal box. A CD or anything smaller is a perfect trade item. This cache was started with some nice items including custom buttons and magnets. In the summer, the road into the park is open. However in the winter the road is closed. When the road is closed you can access the park by parking at Oakland Park and taking the foot bridge across the Mississippi River.
