Calvin's Crotch Reopens Traditional Geocache

Restoration/replacement of previous hide.
Recent cache placements reminded me that I'd never managed to
restore my previous caches vaporised in the arsonist's misdeeds.
Starting at the merry-go-round, you can follow my footsteps,
encountering overgrown trails, rockslides, live oak glades (a
detour down Cadman Trail), and, if the air is clear, absolutely
stunning vistas of Burbank, Glendale, the San Bernadino mountains,
Dodger Stadium, downtown LA , Palos Verdes and Catalina. The fire
road route is about a 3.75 mile circuit. From Upper Beacon one can
also, as I did, take the shortcut down the steep north hillside,
and if lucky on a Sunday afternoon, you'll emerge at the bottom
amidst a latin music jam session in the picnic area across from the
merry-go-round.
Cache is a small, camo-painted poly jar containing log and a few
small items. Note:You'll need to be stealthy leaving the
road, as off-trail excursions are frowned upon. PLease look
carefully for the path of least resistance. Griffith Park gets very
hot and dry during summer months. Take plenty of water and wear
appropriate footwear. Griffith Park is home to rattlesnakes, ticks,
coyotes, mountain lions and poison oak. Please exercise all due
caution.
The less-than-stirling accuracy of my much-maligned Vista being
well-documented by other cachers, I have included a spoiler pic
below to ameliorate (hopefully) any difficulties.
