The event will start at noon. Bring a lunch if you want to eat there. We will have some time to hang out and meet people and possibly win some prizes before we head to the island. The coordinates are down near the shore of the reservoir. Just park at the parking area nearest the coordinates and hike down the trail.
You will need to bring your own floating device with you. So bring your kayak, canoe, rowboat, raft, innertube, or whatever else you have that you can float on. Don't forget a life vest either! We will start paddling to Whitcomb Island at 1300. (That's 1:00pm)
Come out and join us for an afternoon of geofun on the lake! There may even be some other new caches in the area by this day. There will be a CITO event (GC58RCK) out on the island as well!
You do not have to paddle out to the island to attend the event. You can just come for lunch (bring your own) and meet some cachers, hang out and maybe win a prize. The terrain rating is for paddling out to the island.
