This is such a beautiful spot on the Mullica - every time we drive over the bridge on the Parkway we wish the speed limit was lower. DO NOT attempt to pull over on the Parkway to grab this one! Take exit 48. Also, to drive near this one we HIGHLY recommend 4WD, there will be some sandy spots.
It's one thing to see this part of the Mullica from the bridge as you're whizzing by, but the trip to this one should let you take your time and see it from a few new angles! If you "Take a Minute..." on the way you're approaching this cache from the right perspective.
At the end of the pavement, there is a dirt trail (parts of which looked like they might have once been paved) with some rather uneven terrain and loose soil/sand. Should be no problem for most 4WD vehicles - if you're in a car, recommend hoofing it (probably 1/2-3/4ths of a mile to the cache, but the view along the way is worth tarrying for).
Haven't tried this spot in the summer yet - it's quite likely that there will be insects (particularly biting flies) in the warmer weather. But in the cooler months there should be no problem (so much nicer caching in the winter while the ticks etc. are sleeping).
We planted this cache just before the sun began to go down on a beautiful late-November afternoon - then waited and watched the sunset...
