Another wonderful location to make you feel in heaven (as long as the weather is fine). The cache is hidden on the flanks of Moel y Plas overlooking the village of Graigfechan in the Vale of Clwyd. You might find that you are on the wrong side of the fence. The GZ is on the downhill side of this fence. If you are on the wrong side, you can climb over the wire fence in the corner.
The cache is a large screw top, camo covered, plastic container.The cache is large and has a good selection of goodies contained within. The cache is in a remote location and will involve a considerable walk to reach it. Also, it is in a very exposed place and the weather can be much worse than lower down in the valley. It is also at a high altitude so you wont be able to drive up to it. However, being just off the Offa's Dyke long distance footpath it makes for a brilliant excursion as magnificent views can be gained from the cache site. As a new barbed wire fence has recently been erected, YOU NEED TO BE ON THE WESTERN SIDE (downhill side) of it so if you are coming up from the Moel Famau side DO NOT cross the stile when you reach the summit fence but walk along the west side of it to the corner post and you will be able to access GZ. If you are approaching from the fishing lake (Llandegla) side you will need to follow the path up to the summit fence and ensure that YOU DO cross the stile and then turn 90 degrees left to follow the fence line to the corner post. See spoiler photo if unsure. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU RE-COVER THE CACHE AFTER LOGGING.
