Geocache Description:

Take a look around the park, it's very nice and unfortunately I had to hide it right in the front!

Please bring your own pen!

This is one of 36 Girl Scout geocaches that will be placed in Nassau County representing the 36 Girl Scout Councils in the county.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a girl can earn in Girl Scouting. For my own Gold Award, I thought it would be a great idea to use geocaching to showcase other girl's Gold Awards.

In 2004, Alexandra Duspiva and Rachel Rattner, from the Park Association earned their Gold Award by setting up a teen room at Temple Shalom for other teens to enjoy, because the Temple didn’t have one.

Please note that over the years, the requirements to earn this award have changed.
