Geocache Description:

This cache is the tenth in a series of puzzle caches to be placed in the Ithaca area. We hope to place one each month. You can find the first in this series here.

There is nothing hidden at the posted coordinates. You must solve the puzzle below to determine the coordinates of the cache. No night caching.

The posted coordinates are recommended for parking. Even if the gate is open, do not drive down the driveway, as your car could get locked in and that would be bad news. This area is part of Cornell University and hiking and dog-walking (on leash) are allowed. Walk down the driveway, bear right at the fork, and pick up the orange blazed trail heading west in the woods to the south just before you reach the pavilion. The cache will be found within 20 feet of the trail. The terrain should be fine for most cachers, but please exercise caution in case it is slippery, or conditions have changed. Expect a total round trip around a mile, give or take. You are looking for a medium size lock-n-lock containing a little bit of swag and an unactivated travel tag for the FTF. Don't forget to discover the resident "coin" -- a larger than life copy of the coin we recently received from cheryyll celebrating our 500th find.

What a year it has been! For 10/10/10 we made our first cache hides, celebrated our 100th find and "J" embarked on a personal challenge to solve a geocaching puzzle for every day of the year. She's been hard at work on a number of puzzles featuring binary numbers lately, and thought that a puzzle full of 1's and 0's would be perfect for 10/10/11. The grouping of the numbers is only to make them easier to read (if you run in to trouble, try removing the spaces.) There is no connection to methods of encoding information to be read or stored by a computer.
