Geocache Description:

Small lock-and-lock container located at the beginning of the old road to the northern ridge of Mt. Higby.

Hiked this almost forgotten old road along the I-91 many times as another way to cliffs of Mt. Higby. Very few locals are aware about this path. Tourists never get here. Become one of the few.
Walk in to the hiking "paradise" right behind the highway chain-link fence (we have reports that the old small wooden gate has fallen). While hiking this section, use compass, GPS or just some common sense. The road leads south along I-91 to the top of the ridge. You will find a few other caches on the way. The closest parking is located at the junction of Miner Steet and Old Country Club Road near Interstate 91, exit 20 in Middletown; parking is permitted along the road - room for 3-4 cars along the Miner Street's side closer to the interstate. If busy, the bigger parking lot is on the other side of the highway (commuter parking lot). The closest parking coords at N 41 34.179, W 072 43.352 (Miner Street).
Congrats Ron131 on FTF!!!
