Corporate Ca$he - Marven's Water Works Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

BriGuyNY: This multi has always been the prettiest walk in the series. However, new construction choked off the path between stages 2 and 3, and the final is nowhere to be found. Because of these developments and the lack of community interest, I’ve decided to let it go and archive.

Many thanks to all who visited over the years.

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the "Corporate Ca$he - Monopoly Challenge!", in which information needs to be obtained from every cache container before being able to surmise the coordinates for the final stash. Each cache is located within an area of White Plains that is a cluster of corporate offices for a wide variety of companies. After being relocated from upstate New York to one of these offices in June 2010, I realized that although I am surrounded by corporate America life every weekday, the back woods still burn strong inside of me. As a result, this series combines the two, and is designed to take you on a journey that shows the corporate world in a different light.

Welcome to Marven's Water Works. "Who's Marven?" you ask? That is the original name of the gardens as mentioned in the board game's yellow square property Marvin Gardens. The name "Marvin" is actually a typo from the 1930s that was not publicly acknowledged until 1995. Although incorrect, the typo continues today, due to popular familiarity with the spelling. The name "Marven" was derived from the Gardens in Margate City, NJ due to its borders between the cities of MARgate and VENtnor. This cache, similar to the bordering cities, takes you on a multi-stage journey along the edge of 800 Westchester Avenue and surrounding properties between Harrison and Rye Brook. Along the way you will see an impressive view of an extensive waterworks display outside a medical building which looks like it very well could be a city unto itself. Please be respectful of your surroundings here.

Note: The "No Trespassing" signs are to prevent people from swimming and fishing in the water. The pathway is open to the public.

Remember to note the $$$ you find under the container lid before you leave, and I hope you enjoy the game.

Congrats on FTF: Team Geofrog
