If you go off the trail to the south you will find the cache and a beautiful view of the creek. Be very careful there are rattle snakes in the woods.
A bunch of friends came to the first Cook Lake volksmarchs in June 2009. We set up the cache to commenerate the day, thus VM 2009. The Cache is in a clear plastic peanut butter jar,with a red lid. The orgininal contents were a suncache geo token from Sundance Wyoming group, Jackalope pin from the South Dakota group, Cherrio match box car from the kids, and a South Dakota Magnet. We also dropped a bug.
