This one is in Sleepy Creek WMA. It is about a mile from your car. You will use a part of Tuscarora Trail.
Park your car at the trailhead near the Sleepy Creek Dam. The trailhead is at N39d31.917', W78d08.741. Hike north along Tuscarora Trail, following the light blueblazes, until you reach a sign indicating a split between Tuscarora Trail and Meadow Branch Trail at N39d32.409', W78d08.544'. Bear right and follow the old road, leaving the blazes. Follow this until you reach the power lines. Be careful around the beaver ponds! Walk downhill along the power line until you reach Meadow Branch at N 39d32.757', 78d08.646'. Don't cross the creek. Now you'll have to bushwhack up the creek. It isn't far now! Watch for what looks like an old millrace. After you find the cache, either backtrack or just keep going upstream until you hit the Tuscarora Trail again (Look for the light blue blazes). Check out the beaver lodge to your right. Turn left and follow the blazes back to the trail split (you do still have the coordinates don't you?). The whole loop is a bit over a mile. Have fun!
Original items include log book, camera, Sammy Sosa bobble head, a pink highlighter, a horseshoe, a chip clip, a roll of red survey flagging, a Southern States keychain, and a puzzle.
Also, be carefulif you look for this in the fall. Sleepy Creek WMA is a public hunting area. Wear orange during hunting season or wait until its over.
