Geocache Description:

I've been wanting to place some caches in the Caledon Natural Area for some time now. Walk the scenic trails through old growth forest in this Virginia park. Caledon's principle role is a Bald Eagle preserve. At more than 2500 acres, Caledon protects a large tract of forest, and provides nearly eight miles of year round hiking trails, with additional trails open in the off-season (when disturbing the eagles is less of a problem). You are looking for a small lock & lock container a little ways off of the Fern Hollow trail. GPS reception was a bit spotty (horrible) when placing this cache, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Placed with permission. Parking is at the main lot by the visitor center. Park hours are 8:00 am to sunset, and there is a parking fee of $3.00 during the week and $4.00 weekends and holidays. Get all the park's caches while you are there. Stop and enjoy the visitor center if it's open!
