Geocache Description:

Join us and the cachers of PAGA for our 4th annual spine tingling event in Boyce Mayview Park (Pittsburgh South HIlls)! The psychiatric hospital may be torn down but who's to say the old inhabitants aren't still lurking in the forests and fields of the park! Grab a friends (sure, we know you're not scared at all) and head into the park in search of hidden treasures! Grab some smiles and screams and return to the Lab for campfire treats. Come in costume!

Autumn Adventure is designed for individuals ages 5 and up and will be a wonderful group or family event for new and seasoned geocachers! This free event to be held Saturday October 25 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. Meet the experienced cachers of the Pittsburgh Area Geocaching Association (PAGA) and The Outdoor Classroom and learn great caching tips and tricks during this third annual spine tingling event! Break in your Halloween costumes a little early to help scare away the ghosts and goblins.  And make sure you check out JessieKPgh & Crow_Feathers's little Halloween surprise for those who haven't seen us in a while!

You can arrive at any time but be sure you're there at 4:00 PM for the pot luck, group photo, costume contests, door prizes and caching challenge winners! Bring your TBs to share and move along.  This year's theme is ZOMBIES!

The campfire will burn from 3:00 - 6:00 PM for warmth and treat toasting. All cachers in a Halloween costume will receive a free treat! Costumes should be family appropriate and easy to move in as you walk down forested trails. Scout and other groups are welcome, we ask only that an adult: child ratio of 1:3 be observed. Please post “will attends” and what you'll be bringing for the pot luck.  We'll provide the hot chocolate and the paper products.
