SanLorenzo Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mixtli: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

The great San Lorenzo Fort. It protected the entry to the Chagres river from the bad guys.

The road to the San Lorenzo Fort is quite good up to the old Sherman base, after that, it breaks down and you could find trees liying on the trail.

To put the cache, I went with the BOA friends (Bike Offroad Asociation). We parked at the Gatun Locks, and took it from there.

Round trip (in case you want to bike it too), it is 46km.
You will find mud and lose rocks.

Entrance to the San Lorenzo park is either $1.50 or $3.00 depending if you are Panamanian or not.

The cache container is really small, once more time, I had to shop the notebook to make it fit. Please bring only very small items.
