This monument is dedicated to Anthony Hampton and his family that
were killed by indians in 1776. It is also dedicated to Maj.
General Wade Hampton. Col. Wade Hampton and Lt. Gen. Wade Hampton.
It was erected by the Stonewal Chapter UDC Greer, SC in 1933 This
cache is a 35 mm film canister and is NOT on the Monument in any
way. All rocks on monument are secure Road side parking is
