Photobucket A PB2J Cache! Congrats to groove&co for the FTF!

Need a boat and its only a short hike from the coordinates. Coordinates are for the boat ramp and ladder, not the actual cache!! Large sign states public welcome however don't trespass near the house or bring dogs/light fires.This is a popular name for islands in Maine, which has 21 different Ram Islands. This one is in Boothbay Harbor and was used to quarantine rams to control sheep breeding. The light marks a passage into Boothbay Harbor and includes a keeper's house, although it is some distance inland. The light can be seen from Ocean Point at the end of Route 96 on Linekin Neck in Boothbay Harbor. It also can be viewed from various cruises. Ram Island Light Station was built in 1883. Lighthouse Keepers: Samuel John Cavanor (Cavenor) (1883-1913); O. G. Reed(1913); Almon Mitchell (1913-1925); Alonzo A. Conors (1925-?); C.N. Robinson (c. 1930s), Merrill Poor (1944); Ralph Norwood (1945-1950) ACTUAL CACHE COORDINATES: N AABB.CCC W 0DDEE.FFF; AA = # of years Samuel Cavanor was lighthouse keeper + 13. BB = Add O.G. Reeds year digits together x 2 + 20. CCC = # of years Almon Mitchell was keeper squared + 62. DD = Add Alonzo Conors year digits together x 4 + 1. EE = Add C.N. Robinson's year digits together x 2 + 9. FFF = Take the year Merrill Poor was keeper - 1000.
