Join us for camping and kayaking at Rice Lake! Nothing fancy, just a small gathering of cachers and paddlers enjoying the warm weather. The campground does not take reservations so it is on a first come, first get it basis. Does have electricity and bathrooms. No showers. Cachers: there are about 20 caches on Rice Lake that will be publishing this week. You can come out and camp and paddle at any point in time. If you would like to meet up and cache with others feel free to contact me. We are currently putting some kind of tentative plan together for cachers to paddle for the new caches on Saturday.
This is the plan for noncaching paddlers: The plan:Saturday Paddling Banner Marsh Wheel lake.Those who will be camping will get an earlier start but will meet back at the Wheel lake ramp at 9 for those who aren't camping. We will then head back out and paddle till lunch time around noon. Bring a lunch and we will find a nice spot to eat along the shoreline. We will paddle a little afterwards and then head back to Rice lake. Later that evening 6pm we will launch at Johnson Lake for a sunset paddle. Bring lights. This is intended to be a laid back weekend of paddling. If people want to head out on their own and do their own thing thats ok too. Sunday at sunrise I will be launching out of Rice lake and doing a sunrise Bible devotion that anyone can join in on. We will head back in for breakfast and then decide if we want to paddle Rice lake or go back to Banner.
