Geocache Description:

15th Annual International CITO Week #2 - September 2017

This cleanup will take place at the North 1st St Bridge.  The area under this bridge is quite rocky and is notoriously "trashy" due to all the little "trolls" leaving behind their droppings.  You can volunteer to clean up and help keep Norfolk beautiful!  You will also help raise awareness of our great hobby and all that Geocaching stands for!!

This event will take place during the 15th Annual International Cache In Trash Out Week #2!  We will meet at 9:30 am.  The event coordinates will take you to an area on the east side of the bridge where you can park.  Trash bags will be provided.  You should bring protective clothing, heavy-duty gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, drinking water, and a "grabber tool" if you don't want to constantly bend over.

The length of the event will depend on how many people participate, but we should be done by about 10:30 am.  Everyone is welcome to participate!  If you are not physically able to navigate the rocky terrain, you may assist in the level staging area.

Please post a "Will Attend" so we know how many to expect.  Also, please note, by participating, you agree to do so at your own risk.  The event hosts are not responsible for injury or damages.

Groundspeak has announced that those attending CITO Events during the International CITO Weeks will earn a special 2017 CITO Souvenir for their Geocaching profile!

Hope to see you there!
