Our Lady of Remedies (ALFRÍVIDA) The Hermitage
The older Alfrívida, say that once a lady came upon an oak tree that did many miracles healing people. The people gave him the name of Our Lady of Remedies.
It is said even once the same lady had two children making a 'rapeirinho' the ground water that sprang up quickly healed the wounds that children had in mind.
In gratitude, the locals made a chapel in baroque and that appeared destroyed.
This continued in the burrow holm, atop the hillock where today is still the chapel. The altar was built on top of the trunk of said holm.

It is a great honor to make this homage to Our Lady of Remedies, its devotees and to all the inhabitants in and around Afrívida.
Some years ago, I was a dreamy child; was always a great joy to come visit the chapel, the fair, that gun still nowadays pilgrimage (September 8)and that (Terrum) delicious nougat with peanuts, among the rare toys of the season, because the money does not abounded.
We passed the river Pônsul here on barge "Ti lines" as he was affectionately called by also being a fisherman, the lines were the network that arming to know. The rest of the way we did on foot, resting in this or that shade of holm oak.
In the evening there was dancing in the village square, cheered by a group of musicians, the bazaar and the raffle of orange juice (orange juice) that rarely passed the (narrow).
