This virtual cache is located in Thailand's Doi Inthanon National
Park, southwest of Chiang Mai and is the highest point in Thailand.
To log a find for
this virtual cache, locate the sign that is labelled "The Highest
Spot in Thailand", which can be found using the coordinates above.
Have someone take a picture of you holding your GPS infront of the
sign with both the coordinates and elevation showing on the sign
behind you and then upload the picture with your cache log. The
picture to the right shows myself and my GPS taking a reading at
the sign.
The coordinates on the sign were determined prior to the removal
of selective availability, so they are slightly off. Also take note
of the elevation shown on the sign and the precision used and
compare it to your altitude reading on your GPS! For those that are
interested, there is an official geological survey maker about 30 m
up the trail behind the sign that is the "real" highest
point.
