This is our first cache. I hope I entered the coordinates correctly as I had to do MATH to change from our notes, which are 38 02 17 N and 122 48 13 W. I sent this a minute ago with the wrong coordinates.
We called the cache white deer as we saw them on the trail. There are a number of them which may be seen in the meadow areas around dusk.
This entire area is amazing. If you can give yourself the day to take the main trail, it is well worth it. Mountain bikes or hiking, equally OK. No mountain bike on the stash trail, which has stair type steps in places.
The stash includes the camera and notebook and pens, including a pen from Switzerland, a stuffed bulldog, Jimmy Buffet's A Pirate Looks at 50, which for anyone who has read it has some references to that-which-we-do here. There is a tape of Richie Sambora, some mardi gras beads, tattoo bandaids, Hawaiian beads, a walking stick emblem, and some other cool stuff.
