Wheeler peak. Easy to find, but a little difficult to get there.
This is for serious hikers. Wheeler peak is located in Great Basin National Park. The 4.2 trail to the top starts at 10,000+ ft and winds through aspen, pinion pine, and juniper and finally along a windswept rocky ridge to the summit at 13,063ft. The view from the top is the find and well worth the hike. Practice mountian safety, wear layered clothing, take food and water and be alert for altitude sickness. Allow 6-8 hours for the round trip. Post a picture of you with your GPS at the summit (no old vacation shots) to claim a find or e-mail me with a description of the peak area. Don't forget to sign the visitors log at the summit.
