Bayou La Batre

is considered the

"Seafood Capital of Alabama"

due to the massive amounts of seafood packaged

from the literally hundreds of

local fishing boats.

Every year a

Blessing of The Fleet is held

But even still,

destruction happens

This event isn't being held to showcase the storm

but rather celebrate the community

that battled back against a truly

horrible disaster.

10 years later they have done a wonderful job!

GZ will be 12495 County Rd 23, Irvington, AL 36544 beginning @ 1300 until 1430.
