Geocache Description:

Easy drive on county roads. 4wd this tine of year to be safe with a little ground clearance. Summer time two wheel drive can get you there to within hicking distance.

When you pass clear creek hydro plant stay to the left, the road gets rough here. When you get to a large parking area, then hike down the road to your right to the cache area. You will see a lot of rock work and some rock walls. This is where the old lodge was. When you get to a 4 foot high wall the coords should be approx 39 49.474 121 25.296. Coords due jump around because of tree cover. Look southwest, there is a large ceder tree approx 18 feet away then look approx 16 feet behind for cache coords. There is a lot to see so hike around and enjoy the area. down load the pictures from the attached link and see if you can locate the where the pictures were taken. If you hike down the other road from where you parked you will come to a cliff where you can see the Feather river, the train tracks and across the canyon to Hwy 70, view is worth the hike. If you look back up the creek from Mayero you can see a very large water fall coming off the top of the mountain. The cache is a ammo can with misc items and a log book.
