Preface: List of Caches
If you are not willing or able to provide a list of GC codes of qualified caches you found to prove your log requirement fulfillment, then please resign to log this cache.
Each log without such a list will be deleted without further notice. Find a 'why' and a 'how' below.
The number of find logs from people that do not meet the log requirements is increasing, although the requirements are clearly described in the listing. I do not care if people are too busy to read listings, or if they don't understand it (in both cases I wonder how one can get the coordinates then. Well, no, I do not wonder...), or if one or the other hopes that the requirements are not verified.
I *do* care about the rules, so please add a list of relevant GC codes (physical caches only!) to your find log, or contact me in case of questions. I'm not willing to scan through thousands of logs to check, if some countries were only gathered from Virtual or Earth caches.
Part One
Prove, that you've got the Travelbug
To successfully complete the challenge, you have to achieve at least one of the following requirements. "Visiting" means to find a Traditional or Multicache (listed on GC.com) in the required country or area.
- Visit all countries that share a border with Austria: DE, CH, LI, IT, SI, HU, SK, CZ
- Visit twelve countries (including Austria)
- Visit three of the four geographic quadrants, i.e. places/caches with coordinate-combinations "North+East", "North+West", "South+East", "South+West"
A cache at a 0°- or 180°-meridian, on the equator or the poles may be assigned to one of the adjacent quadrant
The "country"-information is determined by the cache-listing at geocaching.com. The header coordinates are relevant, not the location of the final.
Part Two
Prove your knowledge
Following you see pictures from places around the world. Your task is to identify the country and the capital. Determine the geographic coordinates of the capital (the coordinates published at en.wikipedia.org are decisive). Don't worry, minutes and seconds are not from interest, you will only need degrees. With the resulting digits you may determine the final coordinates.

It's not that hard... The language may be misleading. The blurry object should be removed after 20 years, but...
N/S __ [__]° = A
E/W __ __ [__]° = B

A girl named "birch" started to make music with sugar cubes. If one is a 'she' or a 'he' you can see also on the surname. For which you are searching in the yellow pages without success.
On the picture you see, by the way, thermos flasks!
N/S [__] __ ° = C
E/W __ __ [__]° = D

One night here makes the world your oyster?! What ever. Long live the King! Longer than elsewhere.
N/S [__] __ ° = E
E/W __ __ [__]° = F

More than 999 lakes! If you die in your 'middle age', your most probable cause of death is alcohol.
N/S [__] __ ° = G
E/W __ [__] __ ° = H
|
|
What a mess! Film location, wrecked. Even though the director is a local...
N/S [__] __ ° = J
E/W __ __ [__]° = K

Calculations
Finally calculate the coordinates using the following formulas:
P = right-most digit of ( A × G ) - E - J + 1
Q = right-most digit of ( G × F ) + J + B + 4
R = right-most digit of ( H × K ) - B
U = right-most digit of ( C × H ) + K + 3
V = right-most digit of (( E × A ) + ( 4 × D )) × 2 + 4
W = right-most digit of ( 3 × F ) × ( D + 7 ) + C
Cache-Coordinates:
N47 00. [ P ] [ Q ] [ R ]
E015 25. [ U ] [ V ] [ W ]
You can check your result here:
By the way: Ignore signs, but mind the leading zeroes!
You will find a place for your car about 500m east of the cache, bearing 80°
Log Requirement
To avoid discussions concerning the log requirements: Guidelines.
Certainly everybody may search for the cache and sign the paper log. Though an online "Found it" log is only allowed after getting a confirmation via E-mail (see our profile). Please send a list of all GC-codes of the relevant caches. Team accounts may be used. If a team member with a second, separate account does not meet the requirement, he/she must not log with this individual account, but only with the team account.
To cut a long story short: every account with a relevant number of online logged caches may also log here. Otherwise not. We will keep the logs clean if necessary.
76 countries visited by all finders (at logging date) - as of August 2016 - please notify me, if a country is missing
