Geocache Description:

G:UK Rating: G:UK cache rating

The given coordinates are those of a nearby junction - nothing to do with the cache.

In order to find the cache, you need to stand on the nose, look towards the left fist and then keep walking until something blocks your way. The cache is at about chest height.

Some interesting facts about the structure:

  • It is 199ft long (largest of its kind in Europe).
  • It was designed in Barlinnie prison by murderer/author Jimmy Boyle.
  • It was unveiled by Billy Connolly in 1976.

I realise that some of the surrounding area can be rather littered. If this offends you, please ignore the cache. On the other hand I feel this is a curious feature which every Edinburgh geocacher should know about.
