Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are not the coordinates of the cache. However, you could park here to enjoy an extremely hot beverage before or after finding.

The cache is located in a family-friendly SW park with tennis courts, lots of spots for picnicking and fun playground equipment. The park also has one of the few outdoor examples of a certain item in the area.
The park itself is reasonably accessible. There are multiple places to park and a paved trail winds through the park. The last bit of the hunt will take you into a small wooded area with narrow paths over uneven ground. Also, depending on the weather and the time of year, you may encounter a fair amount of mud. You’re looking for a small camo'ed lock n' lock container.

Recently, I set a new personal record for the number of times I needed to go to a spot before actually finding a fairly easy cache. I was was sitting at the computer updating the logs. I must have fallen asleep and then things took a turn for the verse. When I woke up, I found I had composed the following poem. When I looked closer, I realized that the poem pointed to very specific coordinates in SW Portland.

Can’t find, too dark
Walking into trees
Oh Jeez
I can’t remember, where did I park?

Slashed by thorns, tripped on root.
Clue isn’t so hot -
In the obvious spot?
Shoot!

Egad!
Alack!
I must come back.
Reception’s so bad.

'Nother time,
Must log, “Did not
Find.”
