Geocache Description:

#4 in a series near Old Lime Creek Road. Take short spur at about N 37 42.454 W 107 45.528 uphill to old sheep pens.

Cache is ammo can originally containing logbook, LED keychain, magnifying glass, sandbag turtle, The Call Of The Wild, hummingbird buttons, necklace, and, of course, a gremlin.

Twilight Peak at 145° often glows in the last rays of sunset after nearby peaks are in shadow.
Look for an abrupt fold in the rock strata in a road cut at 330°.

Old Lime Creek Road (Forest Rd 591) bypasses Coal Bank Pass on US 550. South end starts at about Colorado/US 550 Mile 51.3, north end at mile 59.6. Area is fairly high in scenic, geologic, and historic interest. This was once part of the highway between Durango and Silverton. Some interesting engineering examples from a bygone era. From the North, most vehicles can get within easy walking distance of the Twilight Corral cache. Southern half of road is quite rocky in places and requires careful driving. A bit of clearance is helpful, or small size and willingness to dodge the obstacles.
8/9/04 Renumbered from Lime Creek 3 to 4--us gremlins inserted Crater cache (GCK2N5) in the series. ;-)
