Geocache Description:

If the track is followed it should be easily found.

The dam was used a long time ago to supply water to the water wheels of the "smithies" in Atherton. I think the co-ordinates are good to about ten feet. (it is a wooded area) Please consider nearby residents if parking a car and respect their privacy. The cache is a small tablet tub large enough only for the log and a few small items. Bring a pen to sign the log. The cache contains a small china dog, a small football and a mod pin badge and the log of course. If you take anything please log it on the website and replace it with something else if possible. When found please make sure you reposition it properly out of sight. The trail to this cache can get very muddy so go prepared. Happy caching!!
