Le voci già correvano da un po' e dal 15 luglio è finalmente
attivo: il nuovo sito geocaching.it.
Propongo questo event per festeggiare l'inaugurazione del sito, per
scambiare idee su come meglio riempire questi spazi e naturalmente
per rivederci e parlare del più e del meno.
Aggiornamento location definitiva
L'event avrà luogo al circolo enogastronomico "Da Baffo" a
Montecarlo (LU), alle coordinate N 43° 50.959 E 010° 38.868, dove
si mangerà (meteo permettendo) all'aperto in mezzo alle vigne,
protetti dal sole da un bel pergolato.
Ci si vede Da Baffo alle ore 12. Il locale normalmente rimane
chiuso a pranzo, ma aprirà apposta per noi. Quindi staremo
tranquilli fra di noi.
Mangeremo un menù fisso di 20 euro a persona, così composto:
Antipasti:
- bruschetta
- salumi toscani (più pecorino e olive)
Primo:
- zuppa di farro
Tris di secondi:
- coniglio alla cacciatora
- pollo fritto
- fagioli e salsiccia
Contorno:
- patate fritte
Dessert:
- cantuccini con vinsanto
Il tutto accompagnato da vino della casa e acqua.
Durante il pranzo saranno messe a disposizione 2 puzzle cache da
risolvere, nascoste nelle vicinanze, che poi potrete andare a
cercare per digirire (ci vorrà!).
La sera prima dell'event ci si potrà vedere nel birrificio
Brùton, alle coordinate N 43° 50.959 E 010° 38.868, fuori Lucca. Ho
intenzione di creare a breve una 'cache notturna' nella zona,
quindi sarà un'ottima occasione per andare a cercare quella.
Inoltre, sono relativamente vicine a questo locale anche le mie
cache già esistenti 'Aglioween' e 'Ponte della Maddalena', di cui
soprattutto la seconda è fattibilissima anche al buio (anche se una
torcia al punto finale fa comodo).
La zona è ricchissima di cache, quindi non vi annoierete nemmeno se
venite per tutto il weekend. E non mancheranno nemmeno le cache
create appositamente per l'occasione.
Se non sapete dove dormire, posso magari dare qualche consiglio.
Basta che mi fate sapere che tipo di sistemazione preferite. Ci
vediamo a settembre!
Siete pregati di indicare nel vostro log in quanti venite, in
modo che potrò far sapere al locale qualche giorno prima dell'event
quanti saremo esattamente.

This event is meant to celebrate the launch of the website
geocaching.it, which has gone live on July 15.
The event will take place at Da Baffo, a characteristic restaurant
in Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca, Tuscany, at N 43° 50.976 E
010° 39.040.
We will meet at noon, and have lunch outside in the middle of the
vineyards. The restaurant normally isn't open at lunchtime, so
there will be just our group there.
We will have the following fixed menu, for EUR 20 per person:
Starters:
- bruschetta (bread with tomato)
- Tuscan cold cuts (plus pecorino cheese and olives)
First Course:
- farro soup (local dish)
Combination of second courses:
- Rabbit 'the hunter's way'
- Fried chicken
- Beans and sausages
Served with:
- Chips/French fries
Dessert:
- cantuccini (Tuscan cookies) with vinsanto (dessert wine)
House wine and water included.
During lunch there will be two puzzle caches to solve, that will be
hidden in the area, so you can go and find them after lunch to
digest a little (you'll need it!).
The evening before the event you are welcome to join us at the
bar/brewery Brùton, located at N 43 54.048, E 10 31.909, just
outside Lucca. I am planning to place a night cache in this area
shortly, so this could be a good time to try and find it.
Relatively close to this bar there are two other caches, of which
especially the second is very for night searches: 'Aglioween' and
'Ponte della Maddalena' (although a flashlight at the final spot
will do you no harm).
There are plenty of caches in this area so you won't be annoyed if
you come to Lucca for the whole weekend.

Please mention in your log how many people your party will
consist of, so I can let the restaurant know a couple of days
before the event how many we will be.
