Geocache Description:

An interesting passage made from water flowing between the bluff and boulders.

The cache is placed at the south end of the passage - you go through the passage to enter the valley. But this is not all there is to see in the valley. If you like off trail hiking to see bluffs, shelter caves and huge boulders, then you will love this valley. There are no maintained trails in this valley but there are some old trails that you can sort of follow at times. There is also an old road/trail that follows the creek through the middle of the valley that is pretty easy walking if the terrain near the rocks and bluffs is no longer fun.

Two parking options are available for this valley: 1st one is N 37° 30.294 W 088° 42.465 - you can park at the same location as marked for Splatterstone Falls cache and at a trail juncture, head off trail and work your way down to this cache. From there you are on your own to pick your own path.
2nd parking option is N37 30.631 W88 42.558 - park near the exposed rock then work your way below the bluffs at N37 30.650 W88 42.460, from there pick a direction. As you go down in the valley here you can see the old road to the right.
