Cache is placed very near to World's Edge, one of the finest views
in the eastern Smokey's. Wear waterproof shoes and bring your sense
of adventure. It is NOT recommended to attempt this cache at
night.
Above coordinates are not the actual cache location, they are to
the suggested parking area. It is at the end of World's Edge Road.
Finding it is part of the adventure! It CAN be reached without
driving on dirt roads. The coordinates are to a small intersection
where the pavement ends. Please drive carefully and be polite to
the neighbors. Their dogs like to roam the road, please don't hit
any! Once parked, program in these coordinates:
N 35 23.624'
W 082 15.553'
Walk or drive (at your vehicle's risk) down the road following
your GPS. It should lead you right to a fork in the road. From
there, you have 2 options. The left road will lead you toward the
treasure cache... follow your GPS to:
N 35 23.642'
W 082 15.550'
That should lead you right to the cache, which is a 6"
Tupperware-like container. May be buried under leaves in the fall,
or snow in the winter.
The right and center roads will lead you to World's Edge and the
spectatular view and virtual cache at:
N 35 23.637'
N 082 15.513'
This land is under review to be purchased by the NC
Conservationist Society. Hopefully this breathtaking view can be
preserved and cleaned up for future generations to enjoy. The land
is open to the public. My grandparents own the neighboring property
and would very much appreciate that you be respectful to the
environment and please do not enter their driveway. If you see
them, however, please wave. They know about geocaching, and might
enjoy a friendly hello if they pass by.
Oh yeah... BRING YOUR CAMERA!!! The view on a clear day is
impossible to describe!

September 6 by Paesana (14 found) Found the virtual cache and the view where some people hang glide from, but did not have the coordinates with me for the treasure cache.

| July 25 by kminerich (46 found) Holy moly. AWESOME view. Found this with jminerich on our 1st anniversary. TFTC AND for the great view. We stuck around for a long time gazing.
[view this log] | July 25 by jminerich (34 found) Best view I have seen in a long time!Do NOT follow the google maps directions on how to get to the parking coordinates for this cache, tho! You will end up at a dead end.. Luckily we were looking for Dash Cache & Dot Club on the same day.. the Directions on those cashes are pretty perfect on how to find Worlds Edge Road ..I recommend following those (Caches: GCZFZA & GCZHMM) You are truly missing out if you don't go looking for this cache & view =)
TFTC!

| July 5 by Team_Bucky (940 found) Mrs. Bucky and I had a great time taking in the scenery today. The mud was no match for the Buckymobile today as we drove down to the viewing area. It was a little overcast, but the view was still nothing short of spectacular! Thank you for keeping a cache in this location. We had a great time. TNLNSL TFTC!!!

| May 14 by sghbjh (5 found) There are two other caches in this area. We found the DOT club (GCZFZA) using the instructions in the detail because the driving directions were not correct. The driving directions for this cache and also for GCF17 (Troglodyic Visitation), were just about identical, but also not correct. There are several roads with the same name that seem to end up as dead ends or on private property. I guess once we found the Dot Club, if we had done a bit more hunting, we might have located this cache, however, the warning about copperheads, etc. pretty much discouraged us from pursuing this find. The snakes are coming out in the warm weather and we saw several copperheads during our hike in Chimney Rock Park (beautiful, don't miss it!!) and also on the property where we stayed. Might be a good hunt for a more experienced cacher.
