To the east of Sweetwater Resevoir and up a few hills. Will require a fair amount of fitness or desire.
When I first started geocaching I thought about hiding a cache up here in the hills where I mountain bike ride and now I have finally gotten around to doing it. When I placed this cache I parked at Sweetwater Summit campground day use parking and the total round trip was 7.45 miles on my bike odometer. I passed CHUCK B's Sweetwater East cache at 2.5 miles and continued on up the hills to place this one. The cache is a small ammo can with some decent swag to try and entice the adventurous cacher. Let the FTF attest to that fact. From Chuck B's cache if you will look further up the hills you will see some power line towers and on one of those towers are two gray spheres. The cache is just a little way above that tower. You will have to bushwack the last 100ft from the fire road. I took the trails that approached the cache from the left side and descended on the trails from the right. The descent was on some very steep fire road that has some loose soil areas that make it tricky on a mountain bike. Use caution or walk if necessary. Since I started geocaching I read the logs of all the various geocachers and have noticed that someone out there has a new Ibex mountain bike and another geocacher rode his mountain bike to Sweetwater east. Well here is another one so come and get it.
