Visit the location of a project by Marian Cruger Coffin
Marian Cruger Coffin was responsible for designing and planting the landscaping on the university campus. The plan for Delaware College called for two ordered rows of Elm and Oak trees, emphasizing the order and austerity of the campus. Conversely, her plan for the Women’s College called for flowering trees and shrubs, to soften the architecture and create a "romantic" atmosphere. Most importantly, Coffin designed a central "recreation area" consisting of a magnolia circle and paths that bordered an oval-shaped green. This area was intended to create a transitional space between the two campuses, where men and women could meet and relax, without leaving the University grounds.
Just recently, a few Fountains have been added to the plan, this cache is located near one of them.
No need to get wet, cache is accessable without getting wet. Bring your own pencil.
Please replace as found. This is a very busy area on Campus. Best to find this cache in the early morning, or evening or night time hours. Also "BIG BROTHER" Is now watching the area. Check this out for an example, (visit link)
Do not park anywhere you should not. The parking police will give you a ticket. Metered parking is available nearby if needed. Just watch your car so you do not get a ticket. Do not park along the street or block traffic.
