Could be short walk or a longer one depending on where you park. This Nature Preserve has nice, wide, well groomed trails that make for an easy stroll. A medium-sized container hidden near an intersection with no bushwhacking required, unless you want to.
I came to this Nature Preserve to find the two caches that have both been here for quite a while. I came down the road that I thought was going to be the best way in but I didn’t see any signs or parking for a truck so I pulled over and checked the map. I went around to the other side of the Preserve and parked at the end of the paved road. That’s when I checked on the details and found out that there were parking coordinates posted but they were on the other side. Too late, the truck was parked and turned off and it was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Mistakes like having to take the longer walk in the woods to get some caches don’t happen often enough. On the way back to the truck I decided to place one closer to the wrong way in, or is it? In hockey, a Hat Trick is when a player scores 3 goals in a single game. The container is a pint sized plastic jar spray painted camo. This cache joins 2 others in this Preserve so if you haven’t logged the other 2 yet, score a Hat Trick and visit all 3 on the same day.
