It's a hanging match holder.
On my first hike thru the area I brought only decon containers to
hide. I noticed that there were many places for urban-type hides as
well. On my 2nd trip, I brought and hid several micros. This is one
of them. Absolutely no vegetation is involved - unless you step on
it.

The only place it could be, and there it was. It's great to turn on to this quieter shadier trail after the Saturday morning traffic on the main trail. This is the start of a morning that turned out much more pleasant than I expected.

Out hiking on an already hot morning, on this fine summer 's day. This is a very nice canyon and is recovering nicely from the recent fires. I work nearby and walk here often. TFTC

Out for a nice hike up the canyon from where I live. Had the day off from work, so why not enjoy a hike as I get ready for the annual Sierra backpacking trip. A nice little 10 mile hike with 10 cache finds to boot. TFTC
