Geocache Description:

Continuing the series....

The cache is not at the published coordinates. If you go there you might not get out.... This person lived in Surrrey (but was born, died and was buried elsewhere) and was an inventor in the sense that they were the pioneer of a technological process. This process is central to many aspects of our modern way of life. To find the cache you need to open the following password protected file:

To open this file you need to answer the following biographical questions. The initial letters of the answers to all 9 questions below spell out the password.

The inventor you seek:

1) had a relative who was a famous literary figure; what relation was the relative?

2) lived in what village in Surrey?

3) was honoured by what country in 1980?

4) had three children; what was the first name of the third child?

5) famously translated the work of another: what was his surname?

You also need:

6) the middle name of the inventor's mother

7) the inventor's own surname

The person you seek is most famously associated with an invention of a famous friend. You need finally:

8) the name of that invention (2 words, use the first)

9) the surname of that friend.
