A high clearance vehicle is recommended as is taking this trip in fair weather.
Take County HWY 5 (Arizona Strip Road) South out of Saint George. Pick up a few caches along the way to the Mt. Trumbull Schoolhouse cache (GCVRP9). Then head west towards N 36 23.483 W 113 35.449 which is just after a split in the road letting you know which way to the cache. Follow the road and your GPS to the cache. It is a easy short uphill walk to the cache.
If you want to venture on for another hour or so down the road you can visit 2 very old mines, each with a virtual cache. Use this coordinate N 36 18.125 W 113 44.389 which will take you to the "T" intersection (with two large water tanks). Go left for 'Savanic Mine' GCF0D0 or go right to the 'Grand Gulch Mine' GC4018.
Plan to spend ALL DAY if you plan to do the mine caches. You will neen a full tank of gas for these.
