Geocache Description:

Once again, in our favorite park. The cache container is not waterproof, so contents are in a large baggie inside, also container likes to pop open, do your best to help it stay closed. The coordinates might be a little off, very poor signal under the trees. Think about where you could hide a cache, look there.

Easter is primarily a religious holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. But we also have many traditions independent of religion.
The bunny as a symbol of Easter comes from Germany in the 1500's, they also gave us the first edible easter bunny in the 1800's - yeah! The Pennsylvania Dutch brought the Easter bunny to the U.S. in the 1700's. Eggs, like the rabbit are a symbol of the renewal of life in many cultures. The Easter basket originates with ancient Catholics who took thier food for Easter dinner to church to be blessed. The Pennsylvania Dutch leave a rabbit's nest waiting to be filled.
All of these traditions meld together to give us our current Easter celebration.
