In 1980, someone had a home here. Now all that's left is a concrete
slab, some curled linoleum, and a number of trees. Somewhere, you
will find a camo'd match container.
This cache is in close proximity to the LM Aeronautics - Palmdale
facility, also known as Plant 10 at Air Force Plant 42. But it's
far enough away that there is no danger of trespassing on Skunk
Works property. What's left of this homestead is not very old, by
normal desert standards. Hope the original owners were able to
relocate to a more suitable location, far away from aircraft noise
and rocket engines...! And I hope you enjoy the scenary. I will
leave you with your thoughts as you wander and explore.
At my last visit (5/1/09), there was a large owl in residence in
a nearby Joshua tree. Be careful not to spook it. You will notice a
good collection of owl pellets on the ground under that tree.
BRING YOUR OWN WRITING INSTRUMENT, and PLEASE PLEASE replace the
cache carefully and completely!!
