A park-n-grab along one of Glendale's oldest streets. Third in a
series.
At one time Glendale Avenue was the center of town and the City's
main north-south thoroughfare. Before the City incorporated
Glendale Avenue was known as "Crow" Avenue, named after Harry J.
Crow, who was an important early resident and owner of Crow Ranch.
When the Pacific Electric Railway (Redline) tracks were installed
in 1904 the town "center" shifted to what is now Brand Boulevard.
The Glendale Eagle Rock Railway provided service up Glendale
Avenue to Montrose in the early 1900's. Railroad tracks are visible
in the 1908 photo (below) of Glendale Avenue at Harvard.

February 7 by jean001 (1061 found) This poor little container didn't handle yesterday's rain well at all. There was water in it (I don't know how!). I emptied it out and wiped it down but the log is completely saturated. Sortof signed it - but it needs a new log and a plastic bag (I didn't have either). tftc
