Small sized box at the Kopaszi dam, in the park called "Obol XI". The cache can be found in the north part of the bay, on the grandstand. If you are facing towards the water-stage, start to look for the cache on the right hand side. The park is open from 6am till 10pm.
This is a traditional cache in the Lagymanyosi bay, which is near to the Buda side of the Lagymanyosi bridge. It is the Kopaszi dam which separates the Danube and the Lagymanyosi bay.
Earlier the Kopaszi dam was very different: there was a small low-end but cosy restaurant and also party place called WestBalkan originates from here. In those days you could travel with rickshaw between WestBalkan and ZoldPardon, these two cultic party places of Budapest.
The dam has gone through dramatic changes since then. Old buildings were removed together with the huge piles of old trash. The park has been renovated, a lot of small buildings were built, playground was created for the children and the whole park was put under grass. It was opened officially at 18th August 2007.
Some of those small buildings are still empty, but some (at least two) have been turned to coffeehouse. In one of these small buildings you can find a small exhibition about the history of Ujbuda.
The park can be reached by car, by bicycle, by bus (Nr. 3, Nr. 103), by tram (Nr 1.).
The park is open from 6:00 to 22:00. There is no entry fee, however if you arrive by car you have to pay for the parking.
The cache can be found inside the park, so take opening hours into account when you start looking for the cache.
