Geocache Description:

Come celebrate the winter thaw (or the winter deep freeze depending on the weather.) Friday, February 24.

Queensites get more business done 'at the diner' after the meeting, than at the meeting itself. An important question asked at any meeting (school board, scout leaders, political parties, choir rehersal) is "Are we going dinering tonight?" and the answer is usually 'yes!' So why not geocachers?

One of the more popular diners in western Queens is the MARK TWAIN DINER in Jackson Heights. The "Twain" is conveniently located on Northern Blvd and 73rd Street.

By Car: Take the BQE to Northern Blvd and go east about 5 blocks....plenty of parking in the rear.

By Public Transportation:

Take the G, R or V trains to Northern Blvd and then take the Q66 bus towards Flushing or
Take the #7 train to 74th Street and then take the Q47 bus or you can walk north about 4 long blocks.

The Q66 and the Q47 buses stop in front.

So tonight we will "diner". Who will join Paulo and Tatanka to trade stories and travel bugs? We will be there around 7 ...in the back.

If this is a good spot, perhaps we'll diner here regularly.

Hope to see a good crowd. Please RSVP so we can get a table large enough for the group.
