The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but it is close enough that you could easily spirit walk there and be back in your body in time to wake up and log the find. The coordinates put you in a nice shady parking spot.
The classic "out of body experience" which is sometimes referred to as Astral Projection, is a phenomena experienced by people who are only loosely tied to their physical form. This might occur while in deep sleep or at the time of death. What happens is that the conscious mind leaves the body behind and goes off on it's own.
A mind freed from the confines of Space is also free to roam within Time. In this way, some people who have been able to control their out of body experiences have been able to glimpse the future or scenes from the past for which they were not physically present.
How to have an OOBE while caching: There are many ways to Astrally Project, just as there are many places to find caches. Relax. Let go. Ignore all of your Geocaching.com finds (and especially the Did Not Finds). Reach out to the caching universe and you'll soon be hunting in an alternate reality. There's no need to "project" using a GPS device. That is not the way. The way is different. You will most likely not find this cache unless you have the coordinates in hand. Unbound from the limitations of space, you can have an OOBE from just about anywhere but you should have a set of physical coordinates before attempting to physically find the cache. Some people describe seeing a silver cord or thread linking them back to the physical form. Noticing these bonds will usually snap a person back to the physical plane - and quickly. Have you ever had a dream where you woke with the sensation of falling? You were likely projecting and returned to your body too quickly. If you are having trouble getting off the ground, so to speak, consider that this puzzle is not very different than the original Psychic Friends Network cache. It's just further out there, man!
About the cache: You are looking for a smallish lock-n-lock camo'd up and hidden in a fairly standard fashion. Less than 150 feet of mild bushwhacking will be required. If you find yourself floating over a gorge, there's an easier way. Be sure to rehide the cache as you found or else you'll damage your silver thread and could risk becoming disembodied.
