Geocache Description:

This is my first attempt at hiding a cache so please let me know how I did.   I have placed a series of eight caches so far at a favorite new spot of mine called the Marr's Ridge Trail.  The Marr's Ridge Trail starts from a parking lot on Hunt's Meadow Road in Whitefield.   The trail was created by the Whitefield Trail Committee on land donated in an easement to the Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association by Sandy Benne.   The entire trail loop is about 4 miles.   The first part of the trail includes a pretty good hill but the views of the valley at the top are worth the effort.  Take a look at the trail map that is posted at the parking lot before you head out.   Note the location of the old stone foundation and take a moment to stop by and have a look at it on your way through.  (Neat to look at but please keep children and pets safe at the site.)

I have tried to stock these caches with neat stuff.   Nothing spectacular but I wanted them to have a little better inventory than I have seen in some caches.   I have included stickers for the kids, a sand art kit in one, some small puzzles, packages of tissues, and mini first aid kits among other items.  The caches were placed with permission and you will have to leave the trail by no more than 50' or so to find them.

Congrats to TheGreenWitchofMim1 on being FTF! Seven more to go in the series.
