Excelsior Commons has been a favorite family meeting area for many generations. It has tennis courts, playgrounds,bandshell(where many bands play each summer),ice cream trolleys and marinas for private slips and cruise boats. The shoreline has been popular for fisherman to catch crappies, walleyes and bass. At the 4th of July, Big Island has hosted the spectacular fireworks displays that draw thousands of fans.
