Geocache Description:

Nice little hike along the Mountail to Sea Trail.

This is the former Canine Cache. I placed it on the day I had to put my dog to sleep due to cancer. She loved to hike and I took her to many caches with me. Her last cache was just a week earlier and I knew she couldn't do any more. She was the greatest dog I've ever known and I will miss her greatly.

Jenny was cremated and when I picked up her ashes they were in a container inside of a bag that had the following written on the outside. "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge." There was a note inside of the bag. I hope you enjoy it.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When a cherished pet passes away, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so that they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt of maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: They each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend meet, you cling together in joyous reunion. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look on once more into the adoring eyes of your trusting pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, Never again to be separated...."

Dogs Allowed. Cache and Trails and in a Hunting Zone.
