Geocache Description:

Join us on Friday, March 20th, 2015 for the 8th Annual Milestones Meet-n-Greet. We will once again have the event in the Parish Hall of Emmanuel Episcopal Church from 7pm (setup at 6:30) until 9:30pm. All are welcome to attend!

We will not be providing chili this year (chili cooks need a year off every once in a while). Instead we will have a dessert potluck. Bring a small dessert item or soft drink to share, or a non-perishable food item for the church food pantry.

No Hidey Awards this year, so this event is solely to recognize those who have recently hit "00", "000", or even "0000" milestones. We will do Milestones Certificates a little differently this year. In previous years, we've had a slight issue with unclaimed certificates, so you will not automatically receive a milestone certificate simply by logging a "will attend". Instead, logging a "will attend" by Tuesday, March 17th will guarantee a spot in a slide show presentation of all the milestones for each event attendee. If you plan to make this event a milestone, please say so in your log.

Other than the Milestones part, this will be an evening of food, chit-chat, and swapping of geo-stories. There's a possibility we could have an Open-Mic story session again, so try to think of a geo-story that would be worth telling (We know everyone has at least one!). This is completely optional, but if you have one, we'd love to hear it!

Traffic: The Kempsville area is still a mess! But you can now turn on to Office Square and then turn right on Singleton Way. However, the best route is still to turn West on Princess Anne (Right from Witchduck Road, left from Kempsville Road) and then turn right on Singleton Way to get to the church. If you're traveling South on Witchduck Road, you can also turn right on Anvers or Amberly Road, then turn left Overland Road and that too will get you to the church. If you're traveling East on Princess Anne Road, turn left on Singleton Way and you're there.

Please log a "will attend" or add this event to your watchlist to get announcements and updates!

Hope to see you there!
