Geocache Description:

50 cal. ammo box hidden in IUP's co-op park.

Located on the northwestern edge of Indiana Borough, the IUP co-op park is owned and maintained by IUP's student cooperative association, but the grounds are available for public use. The park consists of 270 acres of woodlands w/ approx. 10 miles of hiking trails that connect it to the Whites Woods Nature Center. College Lodge is located on the south side of the park and is available to rent for receptions, reunions, parties, and other functions. The Lodge also offers a 2 1/2 mile fitness par-course, a ski slope which is available for sledding and innertubing in the winter, and a world-class 18 hole disc golf course (hence the name of the cache).

The entrance to the park is located at N40°37.760 W079°10.950 and parking is available a couple hundred yards up the road. The park closes at dusk, and the groundskeeper WILL get surly if he has to open the gate for you so don't be there after dark. Just a warning: the grounds can get pretty crowded with disc golfers, particularly in the spring and early fall, so be VERY careful of muggles...AND flying discs.
