You will need to take a long hike up a steep hill. You will also need to pass by some type of camp, there were no signs of anyone when we passed by. I don't recommend going after this cache during, or right after the rain, the trail is steep and slippery.

Once you reach the top you will be looking for a decon container. If you have a clear view, as we did, you will be treated to a nice view of Catalina Island.

You can park at the corner of Mulholland Dr. and Saltillo St. Make your way towards the ODS cache but follow the path to the right and up the hill.

Watch for rattlesnakes, as we met up with one angry snake on our way down. YouTube video

November 3 by tozainamboku (5511 found) It gets dark too early now that the time has changed so I couldn't get this on after work yesterday as I wanted. I pretty much figured tom4props would be up before dawn today to find this so it was no surprise that he was. I headed up around 11AM. This is one tough cardio workout going up that hill. Great views of the valley but haze on the Pacific hid Catalina from view. Thanks, Bill, for the cache showing this trail. [view this log]
